博物館

ミュージアムという言葉は本来、つまり古代ではミューズ神を祀る神殿という意味でした。

今ではもう科学と文化をつかさどるギリシャの女神たちをまつる神殿ではないにしても、近年の文化の殿堂である博物館は同じように、それぞれの時代の知識と業績を保存し、後世に伝えることに捧げられています。
